Improvement of the quality of work based learning by strengthening the role of the vocational practical training coordinator
The aim of this project is to raise the quality of vocational educational training through the effective quality development of work based learning with the focus on the role and tasks of the vocational practical training coordinator.
The role of the vocational practical training coordinator in VET is multilayered. In principal they form the interface between schools and companies as they coordinate the practical training in school and at the employer in both forms of training (dual system and school based practical training). Further, they closely work together with practical training teachers and instructors/mentors in the companies and support these during the practical training of students. Hence, their work can positively contribute to the effective use of both schools and companies/ workplace environment as places of learning and thereby generally ensure the quality of (practical) training.
